Could you be a bright star of vascular science?
Independent Vascular Services Ltd are seeking to recruit dynamic and motivated science graduates for a number of trainee vascular scientist positions based in the North West. You will be trained to scan to a high level, performing and reporting the full range of vascular ultrasound investigations including carotid, upper and lower limb arterial and venous scans and EVAR and graft surveillance scans. You will work alongside vascular surgeons and vascular nurses and be a part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. You will be assigned a base hospital in the Pennine or Manchester region, and an element of travel between sites is required.
Trainees will be expected to complete post-graduate study in vascular ultrasound and undertake the Society for Vascular Technology of Great Britain and Ireland Accreditation exams. Experienced vascular scientists/sonographers and STP graduates, preferably with SVT Accreditation, are also invited to apply. Salary will be determined based on prior experience.
We require a minimum 2:1 life sciences degree. Experience of vascular ultrasound is advantageous but not essential and candidates must have a good understanding of maths and physics. Full driving license and access to a car are essential.
